Product Overview

The AtlasIED DPA602 is a 600-watt networkable power amplifier built for commercial audio installations that mix 70V paging or background music with low-impedance foreground zones. As a DSP-controlled multi-channel amplifier, it can be configured as a 2-channel 70.7V/100V amplifier, a 4-channel 4-ohm/8-ohm amplifier, or a hybrid of both, covering a wide range of system designs from a single 1RU chassis. An optional Dante network audio card makes it a strong fit for integrators standardizing on networked audio distribution in commercial buildings.

Product Description

Out of the box, the DPA602 operates in its factory default configuration as a traditional 2-channel 70.7V/100V commercial power amplifier delivering 2 x 300 watts, with no programming, special setup, or network connection required. When web-enabled, it can be reconfigured into 4-channel mode at 4-ohm or 8-ohm load impedances for two stereo zones, or split so one channel drives a 70.7V/100V paging and background music system while the remaining two channels power 4-ohm/8-ohm stereo foreground audio. This flexibility lets system designers cover paging, background music, and foreground zones with one amplifier model.

AtlasIED DPA602 networkable multi-channel power amplifier

The amplifier ships with four balanced line inputs plus an accessory slot for an optional DPA-DAC4 4-channel Dante receiver card or a DPA-AMIX card with two mic/line and two aux inputs, for a total of eight inputs. Every input can be mixed and routed to any of the four amplifier channels, and each channel carries a full set of DSP tools: level control, EQ, limiters, high and low pass filters, and delay. Output levels can be assigned to the front panel potentiometers or the onboard GUI, with wired remote level control available for end users. GUI-based input and output metering, audio-sense turn-on/off, and mute functions triggered by audio signal or contact closure round out the control set, all accessible from a web browser on a PC, tablet, or mobile device with password protection. The included DPA Site Manager software auto-discovers every DPA amplifier on the network and provides fault reporting, input and output status, standby status, and remote activation via a scheduler timer. Pair it with speakers and racks from the AtlasIED collection at Creation Networks for a complete commercial audio system.

Key Features

  • Three Amplification Modes — Configure as 2-channel 70.7V/100V, 4-channel 4-ohm/8-ohm, or mixed single-channel 70V plus 2-channel low impedance to match the installation design.
  • 600 Watts Total Output — Delivers 2 x 300W at 70.7V/100V or 4 x 150W at 4 ohms for paging, background music, and foreground zones.
  • Optional Dante Network Audio — The accessory slot accepts a DPA-DAC4 4-channel Dante receiver card for networked audio integration.
  • Built-In DSP Per Channel — Level controls, EQ, limiters, high/low pass filters, and delay are configurable from the onboard web GUI.
  • Eight-Input Capacity — Four balanced line inputs expand to eight with an accessory card, all mixable and routable to any channel.
  • Site Manager Software — Network auto-discovery, fault reporting, I/O status, and scheduled standby simplify multi-amplifier deployments.
  • Flexible Control Options — Assign output levels to front panel pots, the web GUI, or wired remote level controls for end users.
  • Energy-Conscious Operation — Audio-sense turn-on/off and 38W idle draw reduce power consumption between uses.
  • Cross-Platform Management — Configuration via web browser is compatible with PC, iOS, and Android devices with password protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the DPA602 include Dante out of the box?

No. Dante is added with the optional DPA-DAC4 4-channel Dante receiver card, which installs in the rear accessory slot. The amplifier ships standard with four balanced line inputs.

Can the DPA602 drive both 70V speakers and 8-ohm speakers at the same time?

Yes. In mixed mode it delivers one 300W channel at 70.7V or 100V for paging or background music while two channels at 150W each drive 4-ohm (or 8-ohm) foreground stereo speakers.

Does it require programming before installation?

No. The factory default configuration operates as a 2-channel 70.7V/100V amplifier with no programming or network connection. Advanced routing and DSP are available when you connect it to a network and open the web GUI.

How do I manage multiple DPA amplifiers across a building?

The included PC-based DPA Site Manager software auto-discovers all DPA amplifiers on the network and provides single-click access, fault reporting, input/output status, standby status, and scheduled remote activation.

Is the amplifier rack mountable?

Yes. The DPA602 occupies 1RU in a standard 19-inch equipment rack, at 14.5 inches deep.

What warranty and support apply?

AtlasIED covers the DPA602 with a 36-month warranty from the date of purchase, and Creation Networks provides pre-sale design assistance and post-sale support for commercial AV integration projects.
