Product Overview
The AtlasIED DPA404 is a 400-watt networkable 4-channel power amplifier built for commercial audio installations that need 70V paging, low-impedance foreground sound, or both from one chassis. The DSP-controlled amplifier supports three amplification arrangements — four-channel 70.7V/100V, four-channel 4-ohm/8-ohm, or a split of two 70V channels and two low-impedance channels — making it adaptable to a wide range of system designs. With an optional Dante network audio card and a 1RU footprint, it suits AV integrators deploying networked commercial audio across meeting spaces, retail, and education facilities.
Product Description
In its factory default configuration the DPA404 works right out of the box as a traditional four-channel 70.7V commercial power amplifier delivering 4 x 100 watts, with no programming, special setup, or network connection required. Once network-enabled, the amplifier can be reconfigured for four-channel operation at 4-ohm or 8-ohm load impedances covering two stereo zones, or split so two channels run a 70.7V/100V paging and background music system while the other two power 4-ohm/8-ohm foreground stereo speakers. That mixed-impedance capability lets a single SKU cover designs that would otherwise require two amplifiers.

Four balanced line inputs come standard, with a rear accessory slot for an optional DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card or a DPA-AMIX card adding two mic/line and two aux inputs, for a total of eight. All inputs can be mixed and routed to any of the four amplifier channels, and each channel includes DSP tools — level controls, EQ, limiters, high and low pass filters, and delay — configured through the onboard web GUI from a PC, tablet, or mobile device with password protection. Four GPIO control ports are assignable in the GUI for mute or remote level functions, and mute assignments can be triggered by audio signal or contact closure. Output levels can live on the front panel potentiometers or in the GUI, with wired remote level controls available for end users. The included PC-based DPA Site Manager software handles LAN IP auto-discovery, fault reporting, input and output status, standby status, and scheduled remote activation across every DPA amplifier on the network. Complete the system with speakers and racks from the AtlasIED collection at Creation Networks.
Key Features
- Multi-Impedance Output — 70.7V, 100V, 8-ohm, or 4-ohm operation in three configurable arrangements covers paging, background, and foreground designs.
- 400 Watts Across Four Channels — 4 x 100W at 70.7V/100V or 4 x 75W at 8 ohms powers multiple zones from 1RU.
- Optional Dante Network Audio — The accessory slot accepts a DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card for networked audio distribution.
- Configurable DSP Per Channel — Level, EQ, limiting, high/low pass filters, and delay are set through the onboard web GUI.
- Eight-Input Capacity — Four balanced inputs expand to eight with the DPA-AMIX mic/line and aux accessory card, all freely routable.
- Four GPIO Control Ports — Assignable in the GUI for mute or remote level control to integrate with room control systems.
- DPA Site Manager Software — LAN auto-discovery, fault reporting, I/O status, and scheduler-based standby simplify managing fleets of amplifiers.
- Cross-Platform Control — Web-based configuration works from PC, iOS, and Android devices with password protection.
Typical Applications
- Conference room and boardroom audio systems
- Commercial meeting space and huddle room clusters
- House of worship zone and foreground audio
- Government space paging and background music
- Multi-purpose room, training room, and all-hands room systems
- Auditorium speech reinforcement

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the DPA404 and the DPA602?
The DPA404 delivers 400 watts total (4 x 100W at 70V), while the DPA602 delivers 600 watts (2 x 300W at 70V). Both share the same DSP platform, accessory card slot, and Site Manager software, so choose based on zone power requirements.
Does the DPA404 support Dante audio?
Dante is optional. Installing the DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card in the accessory slot adds four network audio inputs alongside the four standard balanced line inputs.
Can it power 70V ceiling speakers and 8-ohm surface speakers simultaneously?
Yes. In mixed mode, two channels run at 70.7V or 100V for distributed paging or background music while the other two drive 8-ohm or 4-ohm foreground speakers.
How does it integrate with room control systems?
Four GPIO control ports are assignable in the GUI for mute or remote level control, and mute functions can also be triggered by audio signal or contact closure for integration with paging and control processors.
Is network configuration required for installation?
No. The factory default is a four-channel 70.7V amplifier requiring no programming. Network connectivity is only needed to access advanced DSP, routing, and the Site Manager features.
What warranty and support are included?
AtlasIED covers the DPA404 with a 36-month warranty from the date of purchase, and Creation Networks offers pre-sale system design help and post-sale support for commercial AV installations.
