Allen & Heath AH-SQ-7-PLUS – SQ7+ 48-Channel Digital Mixer, 33 Faders is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
What is the Allen & Heath SQ7+ digital mixer?
The Allen & Heath SQ7+ (AH-SQ-7-PLUS) is the largest mixer in the SQ+ range: a 48-channel, 96kHz digital console with 33 motorised faders, 32 onboard mic preamps, 16 SoftKeys, 8 SoftRotaries and four built-in RackUltra FX engines. It is built for engineers who want every input and mix within reach, in houses of worship, auditoriums, performing arts venues and touring live sound.
How does the Allen & Heath SQ7+ work?
The SQ7+ uses the 96kHz XCVI FPGA core shared by every SQ+ model, mixing 48 inputs to 44 busses with latency under 0.7 ms. Each input includes HPF, gate/expander with sidechain, patchable insert, 4-band parametric EQ with RTA, peak/RMS compressor and delay; each mix adds GEQ, PEQ, compression and delay.
Eight RackExtra FX engines and four RackUltra FX engines, each with dedicated stereo returns, cover everything from classic reverbs and delays to dLive-derived vocal tuning, harmonisers, Spaces and Plate reverbs and saturation. DEEP processing models run inside channel strips with no added latency.
With 32 XLR preamps and 18 line outputs on board, the SQ7+ handles mid-size bands, choirs and multi-presenter events without a stage box, while the 128x128 SLink port adds Allen & Heath expanders and ME personal monitoring when the system grows. The I/O port accepts Dante, MADI or Waves cards, USB supports multitrack recording and a 32x32 audio interface, and two 24-channel automatic mic mixers manage conferences and panel sessions. An all-metal chassis and a 2-year manufacturer warranty support both installed and touring use.
