Allen & Heath AH-QU-PAC-32 Qu-Pac – 16x12 Compact Rackmount Digital Mixer
Product Overview
The Allen & Heath AH-QU-PAC-32 Qu-Pac is a 16-input, 12-output rackmountable consoleless digital mixer and 32x32 USB recording interface, designed for conference room AV integration, house of worship installations, and commercial sound reinforcement where a physical fader surface is unnecessary. Powered by a 5-core ARM processor, the Qu-Pac delivers 16 recallable AnalogiQ microphone preamps, 4-band parametric EQ and compressor/gate on every input channel, four built-in FX engines, and a 5-inch touchscreen for direct control. iPad wireless mixing via the Qu-Pad app and optional expansion to 38 inputs via dSNAKE make the Qu-Pac a scalable solution for growing commercial AV deployments. For integrators standardizing on Allen & Heath's Qu Series ecosystem, the Qu-Pac integrates directly with ME personal mixing systems and AR remote audio expanders.
Product Description
The Qu-Pac provides 16 XLR balanced mic inputs and 16 balanced 1/4" TRS line inputs sharing 16 recallable AnalogiQ preamps. AnalogiQ preamps feature zero-crossing detection and a 1 dB/step gain stage tightly coupled to the DSP for accurate, repeatable recall of gain settings—critical for installed sound applications where scenes must be restored reliably across multiple sessions or operators.
Twelve mix outputs are provided: 10 XLR balanced mono mix outputs and 2 XLR balanced main (LR) outputs, plus 4 balanced 1/4" TRS aux outputs (2 stereo pairs). A digital AES3 output, an etherCON dSNAKE I/O port for AR stage box expansion, and RJ45 network connectivity are also included. The USB-B 2.0 port streams 32x32 audio to and from a connected computer for multi-track recording and playback.
Processing on each input channel includes 4-band parametric EQ, compressor, gate, HPF, polarity switch, and delay—all recallable via the scene system. Four stereo iLive-derived FX engines provide reverbs (including gated), delays, ADT, chorus, phaser, and flanger, with FX returned on dedicated channels to avoid tying up input strips. The 5-inch touchscreen provides access to all parameters without requiring an external controller. The Qu-Pad iPad app connects via Wi-Fi for remote mixing from any position in the venue.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does the Qu-Pac have physical faders?
- No. The Qu-Pac is a consoleless digital mixer controlled via its 5-inch touchscreen and, optionally, via the Qu-Pad iPad app over Wi-Fi. There are no physical faders on the unit itself.
- How does the dSNAKE expansion work?
- A single Cat 5e cable from the etherCON dSNAKE port connects to Allen & Heath AR series remote audio expanders, adding additional mic/line inputs and outputs up to a total of 38 inputs on the Qu system.
- Can the Qu-Pac record multi-track audio?
- Yes. The USB-B 2.0 port streams 32x32 channels to and from a connected Mac or Windows computer running compatible DAW software. The Qu-Pac is class-compliant on macOS and does not require a driver installation.
- How many scenes can the Qu-Pac store?
- The Qu-Pac stores up to 100 scenes. Individual channels and mixes can be made safe from scene recall, and scenes can be saved to a USB key for transfer to another Qu system.
- Is the Qu-Pac compatible with ME-1 personal mixers?
- Yes. ME-1 personal mixers connect via the dSNAKE port, and any number of ME-1 units can be chained. Each performer controls their own mix independently while the main operator manages the PA mix from the Qu-Pac.
- What is required for iPad wireless control?
- A Wi-Fi router or wireless access point must be connected to the Qu-Pac's RJ45 network port. The Qu-Pad app is then installed on an iPad and connects to the mixer over the Wi-Fi network.
- Does the Qu-Pac include rack mount hardware?
- Yes. Rack ears and mounting hardware for 19-inch rack installation are included with the unit.
