What is the Allen & Heath AH-M-DL-ULTRAFX-RUFX RackUltra FX card?
The Allen & Heath AH-M-DL-ULTRAFX-RUFX is the RackUltra FX upgrade kit for dLive, an internal processing card that installs into the expansion slot of any existing dLive DM or CDM MixRack. It adds 8 RackUltra FX engines to the 16 RackExtra FX every dLive already provides. This dLive RackUltra FX upgrade lets venues, houses of worship and rental fleets bring existing MixRacks up to the current FX specification without replacing the mixer.
How does the Allen & Heath AH-M-DL-ULTRAFX-RUFX work?
The card combines Allen & Heath's FPGA technology with ARM processing and plugs into the internal expansion slot on the MixRack, not one of the three I/O ports, so networking cards stay where they are. Once fitted, the MixRack gains 8 additional stereo FX engines that run the RackUltra FX collection. The collection includes Spaces Reverb Designer, Plate Reverb Designer, Vocal Shifter, Vocal Tuner, Vocal Gridder, Dual AutoKey Harmoniser, Quad Voice Harmoniser, MIDI Harmoniser, Amp+Cab Distortion, Saturator and Rhythm Delay.
RackUltra FX engines are selected from the dLive FX page like any other rack and can be used as send/return effects or inserted on channels. Allen & Heath publishes a fitting note for the card, and installation means opening the MixRack, so we recommend it is fitted by a qualified technician during a scheduled service window. For new systems, Allen & Heath also offers MixRacks with the card factory fitted.

Which dLive MixRacks accept this card?
Allen & Heath states it fits any dLive DM or CDM MixRack, including the dLive DM48 and the dLive CDM48.
Does it use one of my I/O ports?
No. It goes in the internal expansion slot, so cards such as the Dante 64x64 card stay installed.
Is this card for Avantis?
No. Avantis uses a separate RackUltra FX module that must be installed by an Allen & Heath Authorised Service Centre. This kit is for dLive MixRacks.
Can I fit it myself?
Allen & Heath publishes a fitting note, but the MixRack must be opened. We recommend installation by a qualified technician, and Creation Networks can schedule it with your system service.
Do I need a firmware update?
RackUltra FX arrived with dLive V2.0 firmware, so update the system to current firmware before use. Our engineers can handle the update during installation.
