Allen & Heath AH-DLIVE-DM48-RUFX – dLive DM48 MixRack with RackUltra FX is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
What is the Allen & Heath AH-DLIVE-DM48-RUFX dLive MixRack?
The Allen & Heath AH-DLIVE-DM48-RUFX is a dLive S Class DM48 MixRack supplied with the RackUltra FX card fitted, listed by Allen & Heath as the DM48U. It is the processing core of a dLive system, housing the XCVI FPGA mix engine, 48 mic/line inputs and 24 line outputs in a 19-inch rack frame. As a dLive MixRack with RackUltra FX, it adds 8 next-generation stereo FX engines to the 16 RackExtra FX that every dLive provides. It suits integrators building a 96kHz digital mixing system for venues, houses of worship and corporate AV spaces where FX quality and stage I/O both matter.
How does the Allen & Heath AH-DLIVE-DM48-RUFX work?
The DM48 holds the entire dLive mix engine: 128 input channels and 64 configurable mix buses running at 96kHz, with 0.7ms latency from MixRack XLR in to XLR out. A dLive control surface, the dLive Director software or an iPad app connects to it over a dual redundant gigaACE link, so the MixRack can sit on stage or in an equipment room while the operator works from front of house. The RackUltra FX card combines Allen & Heath's FPGA technology with ARM processing to run the RackUltra FX collection, which includes Spaces Reverb Designer, Plate Reverb Designer, Vocal Tuner, Vocal Shifter, Vocal Gridder, harmonisers, Amp+Cab Distortion, Saturator and Rhythm Delay.
Three 128-channel I/O ports accept optional networking cards such as Dante, MADI, Waves SoundGrid and gigaACE, while two redundant DX links add remote expanders for distributed stage I/O. A dedicated ME port feeds the ME personal monitoring system, and Automatic Mic Mixing handles up to 64 microphones across 4 zones for spoken-word and conference use. The unit takes a second hot-swappable power supply for redundancy in a permanent install. Because the card is factory fitted, the RackUltra FX engines are available from day one without opening the chassis.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the DM48-RUFX differ from a standard DM48?
It is the same 48-input, 24-output MixRack with the RackUltra FX card already fitted, adding 8 RackUltra FX engines. If you already own a standard Allen & Heath dLive DM48 MixRack, the card is also available as an upgrade.
Which control surfaces work with this MixRack?
Any dLive S Class or C Class surface connects over gigaACE, for example the dLive S5000 surface. The MixRack can also run without a surface using dLive Director software or the mobile apps.
Can it join a Dante network?
Yes. Fit an option card such as the Dante 128x128 networking card to one of the three I/O ports. The full range of compatible cards and expanders is in our Allen & Heath collection.
Does it support redundant power?
Yes. The MixRack accepts a second hot-swappable supply, the MPS-16 redundant PSU, for installs that cannot tolerate downtime.
Is it rack mountable?
Yes. It mounts in a standard 19-inch rack, and the reversible rack ears let you present either the I/O face or the rear panel at the front.
What warranty and support are available?
The MixRack carries Allen & Heath's standard factory warranty, and US customers can add Sound Choice extended coverage on qualifying dLive systems. Creation Networks can design, install, commission and support the complete dLive system.
