What is the Allen & Heath dLive CDM32 RackUltra FX MixRack?
The Allen & Heath AH-DLIVE-CDM32-RUFX is a dLive C Class CDM32 MixRack supplied with the RackUltra FX card fitted. It is the processing engine of a dLive digital mixing system: a 5U rack unit with 32 mic/line preamps, 16 line outputs, 128 input channels, 64 mix outputs and eight RackUltra FX engines. Pair it with a dLive surface for houses of worship, theatres, corporate AV and touring systems that need a compact, rack-mounted digital mixer core.
How does the Allen & Heath dLive CDM32 RackUltra FX MixRack work?
The CDM32 runs Allen & Heath's XCVI 160x64 FPGA core at 96kHz with variable bit depth, a 96-bit accumulator and 0.7 ms latency. It processes 128 input channels and 64 mix outputs over a configurable 64-bus architecture (groups, FX, auxes, matrices and mains, including LR, LCR and up to 5.1), with 24 DCAs and an automatic mic mixer of up to 64 channels across 4 zones.
The fitted RackUltra FX card adds 8 RackUltra FX engines with dedicated stereo sends and returns to the 16 RackExtra FX racks, unlocking the collection of vocal tuning, harmonisers, Spaces and Plate reverb designers and saturation. The connection hub includes a gigaACE link to the surface, two DX links for I/O expansion, one 128-channel 96kHz I/O port for Dante, MADI or other cards, a dedicated ME-1 port, two network ports and BNC word clock. The flush front panel uses an ultra-quiet fan, and reversible rack ears let the MixRack face front or rear in the rack.
