Product Overview
The Adder IPEPSMINI-VGA is a standalone VGA KVM-over-IP unit that gives administrators secure remote access to a single computer from anywhere on the network or over the internet. Built on RealVNC client software developed for KVM over IP applications, this compact remote server management tool captures VGA video up to 1920x1200 and provides true USB keyboard and mouse emulation. It is the practical answer for remote BIOS-level access to legacy VGA servers, industrial PCs, and embedded systems that still run critical workloads.
Product Description
The ADDERLink ipeps mini VGA connects to the VGA output and two USB ports of the target computer, then makes that machine available to authorized users over a 1GbE network. Because it is a hardware device that operates independently of the host, administrators keep full control during boot-up, BIOS configuration, and crash states — exactly when software remote tools are unavailable. Up to eight remote users can access the unit simultaneously, with up to 16 user profiles and defined access rights.

Enterprise-grade security is standard: AES 128 or 256-bit encryption with RSA 2048-bit public key authentication protects every session, suiting the unit to government, utility, and healthcare networks. The 55 x 25 x 110 mm ABS and aluminium chassis can be powered from two USB ports on the host computer or from an optional 5VDC external supply, which keeps installations simple in equipment rooms and at remote unmanned sites. Intelligent EDID management lets the installer define exactly which video modes the controlled device generates.

The ipeps mini can also operate as a remote gateway into ADDERLink INFINITY, DDX, and XDIP matrix systems and the ADDERView 4 PRO switch, giving remote users access to any computer behind those platforms. See related switches and extenders in the Adder Technology collection at Creation Networks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the IPEPSMINI-VGA suitable for older servers and industrial PCs?
Yes. It captures native VGA up to 1920x1200 and is compatible with all known operating systems, making it well suited to legacy and embedded systems.
Does it require any software on the controlled computer?
No. It is a hardware KVM-over-IP unit, so it provides BIOS-level access with no drivers or agents on the target machine. Remote users connect with RealVNC client software.
How is the unit powered?
It can be powered from two USB ports on the host computer (2x 500mA at 5V) or from an optional external 5VDC 1A supply.
How many users can connect at once?
Up to eight remote users may access the unit simultaneously, managed through up to 16 user profiles with defined access rights.
Can it extend remote access to multiple computers?
Yes, indirectly — it can act as a remote gateway into ADDERLink INFINITY, DDX, and XDIP matrix systems or an ADDERView 4 PRO switch.
