The AVPro Edge AC-25G-SFP28-MM is a 25G SFP28 multi-mode fiber transceiver module built for AVPro Edge's MXnet 10G network switches and SDVoE transceivers equipped with 25G SFP28 uplink ports. It extends high-bandwidth AV-over-IP connectivity between switches, encoders, decoders, and other networked AV equipment over multi-mode fiber, reaching up to 100 meters on OM4 cable or 70 meters on OM3. Integrators building fiber backbones for MXnet 10G deployments in campus, multi-building, or long-run rack-to-rack installations use this module to move beyond copper's 100-meter distance limit affordably. It inserts into any standard SFP28 port and requires an LC duplex fiber connection at 850nm. A single-mode version (AC-25G-SFP28-SM) is also available for longer fiber runs.

Built-in clock and data recovery (CDR) on both transmit and receive paths, along with support for RS-FEC and FC forward error correction, helps maintain signal integrity across longer fiber runs.
