Overview
The AVPro Edge AC-MXNET-10G-SFP-MM is a 25G SFP28 multi-mode fiber transceiver module for use in AVPro Edge switches equipped with 25G SFP28 uplink ports. It enables high-bandwidth fiber connectivity between switches, encoders, decoders, and other networked AV equipment over multi-mode fiber infrastructure at distances up to 100 meters on OM4 cable.
Description
Where active optical cables are used for intra-rack connections, separate transceiver modules become necessary when field-terminated or pre-existing fiber runs are already in place. The AC-MXNET-10G-SFP-MM inserts into any standard SFP28 port and operates over OM3 or OM4 multi-mode fiber with an LC duplex connector at 850nm wavelength. The module is hot-swappable and compliant with the SFP28 MSA standard, ensuring compatibility with AVPro Edge switch uplink ports. Power consumption is kept below 3.5W for thermal efficiency in dense switch configurations.
