Connector boxes go in before the wall closes

A flush-mounted Modero panel needs its connector box or rough-in box installed during construction. Order it with the panel, not after — retrofitting one into a finished wall means opening the wall, and it is the single most common reason a touch panel install slips.

Boxes are sized to the panel: a 7-inch Modero X box will not take a 10-inch panel. Match the part number to the exact panel model.

Mounting the modules

VARIA Style modules mount to DIN rail, poles, surfaces or 1U rack trays depending on where they physically sit. Rack fill panels close the gaps in a populated tray. Each mount is a separate line item, and a module ordered without its mount cannot be installed.

Power supplies

Control modules and extenders need the correct supply for both voltage and current — a 12VDC module drawing more than its supply provides will behave erratically rather than simply failing, which makes the fault hard to find. Check the current rating, not just the voltage.

Order with the system

Almost everything here is discovered during installation rather than specified at quote. Pull the panel models, module count and mounting locations off the drawings and the accessory list writes itself.
