The TASCAM BD-MP4K is a 1U rack-mount 4K UHD Blu-ray player with SD card and USB flash media playback for professional AV installations in commercial facilities, educational institutions, theaters, and entertainment venues. It plays 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, BD25/BD50, DVD, and CD discs as well as video, still image, and audio files from SD and USB storage, with professional-grade XLR balanced stereo analog outputs and 7.1 analog surround outputs for high-quality audio reproduction. RS-232C and Gigabit Ethernet provide remote control integration for installed AV systems.
Product Description
The BD-MP4K outputs 4K UHD video via HDMI for direct connection to displays and video switchers in commercial presentation and digital signage environments. Power-on-Play automatically starts playback at power-up; combined with the Repeat function, it enables unattended looped playback for digital signage and exhibit applications. A Panel Lock function disables front-panel controls and a Hide Menu function conceals the on-screen interface for public-facing deployments where user interaction is not desired. XLR balanced stereo analog audio outputs provide clean, interference-free audio to professional mixing consoles and amplifiers over long cable runs. A coaxial digital audio output supports Dolby Audio, DTS, and 2-channel linear PCM for digital distribution systems. The 7.1 analog audio outputs support surround sound installations. Front-panel SDXC and rear USB ports accommodate both fixed and interchangeable media. An IR wireless remote control is included; RS-232C and Gigabit LAN ports support professional control system integration with Crestron, AMX, Extron, and similar platforms.
