The Shure Q5X QTAD10P PlayerMic is a flexible, concealable waterproof bodypack wireless transmitter built for professional sports broadcasting and entertainment production. Originally developed by Q5X for the NBA as the first flexible rubber bodypack, it is worn directly on athletes and talent to capture on-field and on-court audio. It integrates with Shure Axient Digital wireless receivers for secure, broadcast-grade transmission.

The QTAD10P PlayerMic uses a thin, flexible polymer case that is water resistant, durable, and easily sanitized for repeated use on different talent. Its flexible form makes it extremely concealable under uniforms and clothing, a key requirement for live sports and entertainment broadcast. The transmitter offers user-selectable RF output power of 2 mW, 10 mW, and 20 mW and runs on an internal lithium-ion rechargeable battery, with Regular (8-hour) and Short (4-hour) runtime versions available. A single-pin LEMO connector accepts a compatible Q5X microphone, and encrypted transmission keeps audio secure. The PlayerMic operates with Axient Digital wireless receivers and is managed through the RCAS MicCommander handheld remote, which is sold separately. This unit is supplied in the G56 frequency band.
