Product Overview
The Shure A99SMA is a retrofit adapter that allows the A400SM shock mount to be used in installations originally sized for the A99SM shock mount. It lets integrators upgrade or service existing SM99-series microphone mounting without rebuilding the install. The adapter is intended for commercial AV technicians maintaining installed Shure microphone systems.
Product Description
When a shock-mount platform changes across product generations, existing installations need an adapter to accept the newer hardware without modification. The A99SMA retrofit adapter allows the A400SM shock mount to be used in installations sized for the A99SM shock mount, bridging the two mounting standards. This protects prior installation work and reduces labor when servicing or upgrading SM99-series microphone mounting. As a factory Shure accessory, it is machined to mate both shock-mount interfaces precisely.
