The Panamax MOD-AT8110 is a modular signal protection module for MaxMOD-compatible Panamax power management units, providing surge suppression for up to 8 analog telephone lines via 110 punchdown terminations. It is DSL modem compatible and protects telephone wiring from transient surges that can travel along phone lines into connected AV and communications equipment.
Product Description
The MOD-AT8110 is a Panamax MOD series signal protection module that snaps into modular expansion bays on MaxMOD-compatible base units such as the Panamax MR4000 series. It protects 8 analog telephone lines — covering 16 wires total — using 110-style punchdown connectors on both input and output for direct termination of structured wiring. This makes it well-suited for AV rack deployments in commercial installations, custom integrations, or multi-line residential systems where telephone wiring runs alongside AV signal cabling. Metallic and longitudinal suppression modes address both differential and common-mode transient voltages on the phone pairs, and the fuseless, auto-resetting design eliminates manual reset requirements after a surge event. The 260V clamping level and approximately 30 pF capacitance are appropriate for standard POTS and DSL modem applications. MOD modules from Panamax can be stacked or daisy-chained to expand the signal protection coverage of a base unit installation. Available at Creation Networks.
