The Lightware Rack Shelf 1U Half-Rack is a standard 19-inch rack mounting accessory that accommodates Lightware half-rack and quarter-rack width products within a single 1U rack space. It allows compact Lightware devices — which are too narrow to mount directly in a full-width rack — to be installed cleanly in standard equipment racks alongside full-rack-width gear. Product Description

Lightware's half-rack and quarter-rack devices are designed to be installed in pairs or groups within a 1U shelf, making efficient use of rack space in systems with multiple compact units. The shelf provides a solid base and front rack ears that allow it to be bolted directly into a standard 19-inch equipment rack. A compatible Rack Cover Half Rack shelf (sold separately) can be used to blank off any unused half-rack space in the same 1U opening. This shelf is compatible with all current Lightware half-rack and quarter-rack products as specified by the manufacturer.
