Product Description
The PPC6BS050BK is part of Liberty AV's premium shielded pre-terminated plenum patch cable series, engineered for AV integrators deploying HDBaseT extenders, IP cameras, VoIP systems, and 10/100/1000BaseT Ethernet infrastructure in commercial spaces. The F/UTP (Foiled Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction adds an overall foil shield over the four twisted pairs, providing a meaningful improvement in noise rejection compared to unshielded UTP patch cables — an important consideration in commercial AV environments with dense cable trays and high-frequency interference sources.
Each end is terminated with an 8P8C modular RJ45 plug featuring gold flash-plated contacts for reliable, corrosion-resistant connectivity. Strain relief boots provide physical protection at the connector-to-cable junction to prevent damage during installation and repeated connect/disconnect cycles. The cable is tested to ANSI/TIA-568C Category 6 performance standards on a Fluke DTX-1800 test set, and is RoHS compliant. The NEC CMP and CEC CMP FT6 ratings allow direct installation in plenum air-handling spaces in commercial buildings without conduit.
