Product Description
The GS108MX 8-port Gigabit switch with 10G uplink is designed for AV integrators who need to move large media files, multi-stream video, or shared storage traffic without congesting the network. The dedicated 10G/Multi-Gig RJ45 port auto-negotiates five speeds (100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G, or 10G) over standard copper cabling, so it connects to a NAS, a 10G server, or an upstream switch without forcing a fiber run. The eight Gigabit ports feed cameras, encoders, players, and workstations, all served by a 36 Gbps non-blocking switching fabric.
The compact 235 x 100.8 x 27 mm metal case is fully plug-and-play, requiring no configuration, and mounts on a desk or wall with the included kit for placement in a rack room, signage cabinet, or behind a display. The fanless design keeps it silent in conference rooms and quiet AV spaces, and Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) reduces power draw during light traffic.
