Product Overview
The Crestron SW-RMC3-10PROG is a Modular Programming Architecture license that lets a supported Crestron control system run up to ten programs simultaneously. This Crestron 10-program MPA license activates the MPA feature on RMC3, RMC4, MPC3 series, and MC4 series control systems, enabling independent device-specific programs on a single processor. It is intended for programmers and integrators consolidating multiple control functions onto one control system. The product is a software license with no hardware shipped.
Product Description
Modular Programming Architecture allows a supported control system to run as many as ten programs at once, so integrators can develop independent, device-specific programs rather than a single monolithic application. Each program can be optimized for a specific function, and changes can be made to one program without affecting the rest of the system, simplifying maintenance and ongoing updates across the deployment.
The license is not required when only one program runs on the control system. It applies to the RMC3 3-Series control system, the RMC4 4-Series control system, the MPC3 series 3-Series media presentation controller, and the MC4 series 4-Series control system. Because it is a software license, it activates the MPA feature on the existing processor without adding hardware.
Key Features
- Up to Ten Programs — Activates Modular Programming Architecture so a supported control system runs up to ten programs simultaneously.
- Independent Program Modules — Programmers can develop independent, device-specific programs that are each optimized for a particular function.
- Isolated Updates — Changes to one program can be made without affecting the whole system, reducing risk during maintenance.
- Broad Processor Support — Compatible with RMC3, RMC4, MPC3 series, and MC4 series control systems.
- Software License — Delivered as a license activation with no additional hardware required.
- Single-Program Exemption — Not required when only one program runs, so it is purchased only when multi-program operation is needed.
Typical Applications
- Integrators consolidating multiple subsystem programs onto one control processor
- Large rooms or facilities running separate AV, lighting, and environmental programs concurrently
- Phased deployments where programs are added or updated independently over time
- Service contracts requiring isolated program updates without full-system redeployment
