Crestron DM-NVX-E30 – DM NVX 4K60 4:4:4 HDR Network AV Encoder

Crestron DM-NVX-E30 4K60 4:4:4 HDR AV-over-IP encoder dedicated standalone network video

Product Overview

The Crestron DM-NVX-E30 is a dedicated 4K60 4:4:4 HDR AV-over-IP encoder — a transmit-only endpoint that accepts an HDMI source and encodes it at full 4K60 4:4:4 quality with HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support for distribution over standard Gigabit Ethernet to any DM NVX decoder on the network. It delivers the same Pixel Perfect Processing, enterprise security, AES67 audio, and PoE+ convenience as the dual-role DM-NVX-360 in a smaller, dedicated encoder form factor for installations where source positions are permanently fixed as encoders.

Product Description

In large-scale DM NVX AV-over-IP systems, many source positions — presentation plates, camera connections, media players, document cameras — are permanently installed as encoders that never need to switch to decoder role. The DM-NVX-E30’s dedicated encoder design eliminates the software configuration step required to set role on the dual-role NVX-360, simplifying deployment for fixed transmit positions. Pixel Perfect Processing delivers less than one frame of end-to-end latency. HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support ensures the highest-fidelity 4K video transport for premium content sources. AES67 audio embedding and de-embedding integrates with Dante/AES67 network audio infrastructure alongside the video stream. The analog audio port is configurable as input or output — embed a local stereo source or de-embed audio from the HDMI signal to feed a local sound system. RS-232, IR, and CEC device control extend to remote locations alongside the video. Smaller physical chassis (H: 5.41 in.) and 15W power consumption vs. the dual-role NVX-360 (8.61 in. / 20W) make the E30 a better fit for under-table, in-rack, or ceiling encoder installations with limited space. The card version (DM-NVX-E30C) provides the same capability in a DMF-CI-8 card chassis slot for high-density head-end encoder aggregation.

Key Features

  • Dedicated 4K60 4:4:4 HDR Encoder: Transmit-only for permanently fixed source positions — eliminates encoder/decoder role configuration step vs. dual-role NVX-360.
  • HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision: Full HDR format support matching the DM-NVX-360 for premium source content.
  • Pixel Perfect Processing: Less than 1 frame end-to-end latency over 1-Gigabit Ethernet.
  • HDCP 2.3 and AES-128/PKI Security: Enterprise copy protection and content encryption.
  • 802.1X, Active Directory, TLS, SSH, HTTPS: Enterprise IT security compliance.
  • AES67 Audio: 24-bit 48kHz AES67 transmit and receive alongside the video stream for Dante/AES67 audio network integration.
  • Analog Audio I/O: Configurable stereo input or output (5-pin 3.5mm); volume −80 to +20 dB; DAC 24-bit 48kHz; S/N >95 dB.
  • 7.1 Surround Sound Transport: Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS HD, DTS:X, linear PCM lossless transport.
  • RS-232, IR, and CEC Device Control: 2-way RS-232 up to 115.2k baud; IR up to 1.1 MHz.
  • PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at, 25.5W): Single-cable power from any compliant switch.
  • 15W Typical Power Consumption: Lower power than dual-role NVX-360 (20W) — suitable for PoE budget-conscious deployments.
  • Smaller Chassis: H: 5.41 in. (138mm) vs. NVX-360’s 8.61 in. (219mm) — fits under-table, ceiling, and constrained-space encoder positions.
  • Copper and Fiber Ethernet: RJ45 1GbE + optional SFP fiber (sold separately).
  • Image Preview and Test Pattern Generator.
  • Card Version: DM-NVX-E30C for DMF-CI-8 chassis.

Typical Applications

  • Conference room HDMI presentation plate encoder for permanent source-to-network-to-display distribution via DM NVX
  • PTZ camera or fixed camera encoder at remote ceiling or wall positions for IP distribution to conferencing, recording, and display destinations
  • Head-end source aggregation with multiple NVX-E30 or NVX-E30C encoders in a rack, feeding campus-wide DM NVX decoders
  • Digital signage media player encoder for 4K60 4:4:4 content distribution to signage displays over IP
  • Under-table or ceiling encoder installations where the E30’s smaller chassis (5.41 in.) fits better than the NVX-360 (8.61 in.)

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I specify DM-NVX-E30 or DM-NVX-360 for a fixed encoder position?
The DM-NVX-E30 is the cleaner specification for permanently fixed encoder positions — smaller chassis, lower power (15W vs 20W), dedicated encoder without a role-selection step. The DM-NVX-360 is preferable where flexibility to switch roles in the future may be needed, or where the video wall processing, scaler output, or USB KVM features of the 360 are needed at the source position. Contact Creation Networks for guidance.

What is the stream type for DM-NVX-D10/D20/D200 compatibility?
Set stream type to DM-NVX-D10/D20/D200 Series (not default Pixel Perfect Processing) via web interface or control system for compatibility with those decoder models. Contact Creation Networks.

What is the warranty?
