Product Overview

The CS-BRD55P-NR-K9 Cisco Board Pro 55 no-radio is the wired-only build of the first-generation Board Pro, supplied without the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios so it can be accepted into facilities that prohibit wireless emitters on the meeting-room floor.

This is a first-generation (G1) part number. Cisco announced end-of-life for Board Pro 55 G1 on May 28, 2024, with an end-of-sale date of November 26, 2024 and a last date of support of November 30, 2029; Cisco names the Board Pro 55 G2 equivalents as the migration path.

It remains the correct order for an organisation extending or repairing an existing G1 estate, where a matching no-radio endpoint is a security requirement rather than a preference.

Removing the radio changes the deployment model rather than the meeting experience. The board attaches to the network over its 10/100/1000 RJ-45 LAN port only, so the structured cabling and switch port have to be in place at the wall position before the unit is hung, and the accreditation paperwork for the room does not have to account for an 802.11 emitter.

Cisco lists a second 10/100/1000 Ethernet port with 802.3af PoE and a 15.4 W budget dedicated to a Cisco Room Navigator, which means the touch controller draws power from the board itself instead of a separate injector or a table switch port.
