Product Description

Atlona AT-RON-448 Eight-Output HDMI Distribution Amplifier

The Atlona Rondo 448 (AT-RON-448) is an eight-output HDMI distribution amplifier engineered for 4K HDR signal distribution in commercial and professional AV installations. It accepts a single HDMI 2.0 source and distributes it to eight HDMI outputs simultaneously, supporting 4K/UHD resolution at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and HDMI data rates up to 18 Gbps. The unit is HDCP 2.2 compliant, ensuring compatibility with the latest content protection requirements for UHD and HDR sources such as Ultra HD Blu-ray players, 4K streaming devices, and HDR-capable media servers. HDR format support includes HDR10, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), and Dolby Vision at 60 Hz, providing full compatibility with current broadcast and consumer HDR standards. EDID management allows the unit to communicate a specific EDID to the source, ensuring the source transmits the desired resolution and audio format rather than negotiating based on a single display's capabilities. Audio de-embedding extracts two-channel PCM audio from the HDMI input to an unbalanced analog stereo output on a captive screw connector, and also outputs two-channel PCM or multi-channel bitstream audio to a coaxial S/PDIF digital output, providing integration options for AV receivers and whole-house audio systems. The AT-RON-448 supports cascading up to eight units, allowing system designers to expand from eight outputs to as many as 64 without compromising signal quality or performance. Multi-channel audio pass-through supports PCM, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS Digital Surround, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS:X. The unit ships with rack mounting brackets and an external universal power supply, and installs in a 1U, full rack width enclosure. Firmware can be updated in the field via the front-panel USB port.
