The Atlas Sound SHS3T2B is a pair of black multi-function concealed speakers using a patented tunnel waveguide and adaptive dispersion lens system to deliver even sound distribution with minimal hot spots. Designed for commercial sound masking, background music, and paging in office, healthcare, retail, and hospitality environments, the SHS3T2B supports in-ceiling, wall-mount, and pendant deployment from a single enclosure. The 2.25-inch full-range driver operates on 70.7V or 100V distributed audio systems with multiple watt taps, making it a flexible strategically hidden speaker solution for professional AV integrators working in dark-finish interior environments.

Product Description

The SHS-3T2 uses a full-range driver attached to a tunnel waveguide that feeds audio into a patented adaptive dispersion lens. This lens acts as a phase plug, radiating all frequencies evenly to eliminate the acoustic hot spots common with conventional downfiring speakers. The result is uniform sound distribution across the listening area, which makes the SHS3T2B equally effective for background music reinforcement and sound masking applications. Three adaptive dispersion lens configurations are included to match ceiling height: 4mm lens with solid panel for sound masking and ceilings under 10 feet, 8mm lens with solid panel for 10 to 14 foot ceilings, and 4mm direct-fire lens with perforated panel for ceilings above 14 feet or maximum intelligibility needs. The speaker can be installed three ways: wall-mounted with an included 90-degree variable-angle bracket, pendant-mounted using the included steel mounting cable, or in-ceiling with the mounting bracket removed. An optional SHS-3T2-TB tile bridge is available for drop-tile ceiling installations. Once installed in-ceiling, only a 3-inch dispersion lens and micro trim ring are visible — comparable in size to a ceiling sprinkler head. Custom color matching for the lens and trim ring is available through AtlasIED's DesignLab UV print service. For distributed audio systems, the SHS3T2B connects via standard 2-conductor commercial speaker wire using the included removable 4-pole euro connector. When used with AtlasIED's Z-Series acoustical system, Cat5e connectivity is available with in/out daisy-chain terminals. The sealed ABS enclosure ships in black.
