Product Overview

The Atlas Sound PSR-206 is a zone paging relay pack that gives commercial paging systems the switching backbone needed to route announcements to specific zones. Six pre-mounted 24VDC DPDT relays and an internal fused power supply arrive completely wired in a compact chassis, so integrators mount the unit, land their zone wiring, and go. The PSR-206 supports five zones plus All Call, or six zones without All Call, and it is designed to pair with the AtlasIED MPC Series modular paging communications center. For facilities managers and AV integrators building zone paging into offices, schools, and government buildings, it removes the custom relay-panel fabrication step entirely.

Product Description

At its core, the PSR-206 is a turnkey relay interface for zone page system installation. The internal power supply delivers 500mA at 24VDC with fuse protection, and its output terminates both internally to the relay coils and externally at the terminal strip — meaning excess supply capacity can power additional external relays or indicator lights without a separate supply.

Atlas Sound PSR-206 zone page powered relay pack with six relays

The six DPDT relays use silver, gold-plated contacts rated at 3 amps, with a nominal coil current of 35mA per relay. Every relay is pre-mounted, pre-wired to the power supply, and terminated at clearly labeled terminals identified by a silkscreened diagram — a detail that meaningfully shortens commissioning time and reduces wiring errors during commercial paging system integration. Any relay can be converted to an all-page relay by connecting the off bus to the selected relay-switch output, giving designers flexibility in how zones and All Call behavior are configured. The entire assembly is enclosed in an 18-gauge cold-rolled steel chassis finished in black epoxy, with a 6-foot power cord for connection to standard 117VAC service. In a typical deployment, the PSR-206 sits between a paging microphone or telephone interface and the distributed 70V amplifier zones, switching audio to the selected zone when the operator keys a page. It is purpose-built for AtlasIED MPC Series paging consoles but functions in any compatible zone-switching design.

Key Features

  • Six Pre-Wired 24VDC DPDT Relays — Arrives fully assembled and terminated, eliminating custom relay panel fabrication on site.
  • Internal Fused Power Supply — Delivers 24VDC at 500mA with fuse protection, powering the relay coils and external accessories.
  • Spare Capacity for External Devices — Power supply output at the terminal strip can drive additional relays or indicator lights.
  • Flexible Zone Configuration — Supports 5 zones plus All Call, or 6 zones without All Call; any relay converts to all-page duty.
  • 3-Amp Gold-Plated Contacts — Silver, gold-plated relay contacts provide reliable low-resistance switching for paging audio.
  • Silkscreened Terminal Diagram — Clearly labeled terminals reduce wiring errors and speed up commissioning.
  • Compact Steel Chassis — Fully enclosed 18-gauge CRS housing in black epoxy mounts cleanly in equipment closets.
  • MPC Series Compatible — Engineered to work with the AtlasIED MPC modular paging communications center.

Typical Applications

  • Government space paging and notification systems
  • Commercial meeting space and office zone paging
  • Multi-purpose room announcement routing
  • Training room and education facility paging zones

Frequently Asked Questions

How many paging zones does the PSR-206 support?
Six relays provide either five zones plus an All Call function, or six independent zones if All Call is not required. For larger systems, AtlasIED also offers a twelve-relay version (PSR-212).

What equipment does it work with?
The PSR-206 is designed for the AtlasIED MPC Series modular paging communications center, and it can serve in other zone-switching designs that use 24VDC DPDT relay control.

Can it power external relays or lights?
Yes. The internal 24VDC/500mA supply terminates at the terminal strip, so unused capacity beyond the six internal coils (roughly 35mA each) is available for external relays or indicator lamps.

Is field wiring difficult?
No. All relays arrive pre-mounted, pre-wired, and terminated, and a silkscreened diagram identifies every terminal. Installers connect zone wiring and the 117VAC cord, then configure All Call if needed.

How do I set up an All Call zone?
Connect the off bus to the selected relay-switch output — any of the six relays can be converted to all-page operation this way.

What warranty and support are included?
AtlasIED covers the PSR-206 for 12 months from purchase. For help integrating it into your paging system design, contact Creation Networks.
