Behind it, a highly efficient 15-watt compression driver in a double re-entrant horn design produces clear, intelligible voice and tone alerts even where forklifts, HVAC plants, or street traffic raise the noise floor.

On the network side, the IP-HVP behaves like a VoIP handset. Auto-registration via SLP (Singlewire), DHCP Option 72 (Syn-Apps), or IEDNet+ places the speaker on your Voice VLAN with the same QoS as your phones, so paging traffic is prioritized and secure. Where third-party notification software is not required, the speaker registers directly to a SIP server for bell schedules, pre-recorded announcements, and live paging.
