Product Overview

The Atlas Sound IP-HVP is a PoE+ vandal and weather resistant wall mount IP speaker built for outdoor paging and mass notification in high-abuse environments such as school exteriors, parking structures, industrial yards, and transportation hubs. Its 15-watt double re-entrant horn driver delivers up to 120 dB peak SPL, enough to cut through high ambient noise across large open areas. As part of the AtlasIED IPX Series, it registers directly with InformaCast, Syn-Apps Revolution, and GCK notification platforms, or as a standard SIP endpoint on your VoIP communications manager. A single network cable handles both audio and PoE+ power, simplifying commercial IP speaker installation.

Product Description

For AV integrators and IT managers deploying network-wide emergency communication systems, the IP-HVP solves two problems at once: durability and intelligibility. The grille is manufactured from cast aluminum alloy, giving the speaker genuine vandal resistance and weather protection for both indoor and outdoor IP paging speaker installations. Behind it, a highly efficient 15-watt compression driver in a double re-entrant horn design produces clear, intelligible voice and tone alerts even where forklifts, HVAC plants, or street traffic raise the noise floor.

Atlas Sound IP-HVP PoE+ vandal and weather resistant wall mount IP speaker

On the network side, the IP-HVP behaves like a VoIP handset. Auto-registration via SLP (Singlewire), DHCP Option 72 (Syn-Apps), or IEDNet+ places the speaker on your Voice VLAN with the same QoS as your phones, so paging traffic is prioritized and secure. Where third-party notification software is not required, the speaker registers directly to a SIP server for bell schedules, pre-recorded announcements, and live paging. The unit supports G.711 u-law/a-law and G.722 wideband audio, runs on standard IEEE 802.3af/at PoE, and includes balanced aux line-in and line-out connections plus two general purpose inputs and one relay output (2A at 30 VDC) for triggering strobes, door releases, or third-party alarm systems. Each speaker ships factory assembled — driver, grille, and PCB amp/control board as one unit — which keeps wall mount IP speaker installation to a single technician and a single Cat5e/Cat6 pull. Flush (IP-FEST-HVP) and surface (IP-SEST-HVP) vandal-resistant mounting enclosures are sold separately.

Key Features

  • Vandal and Weather Resistant Construction — The cast aluminum alloy grille withstands physical abuse and outdoor exposure, making the speaker suitable for unsupervised exterior and high-traffic locations.
  • 120 dB Peak SPL Horn Driver — The 15-watt double re-entrant compression driver projects voice and tone alerts clearly over high ambient noise and across large spaces.
  • PoE+ Single-Cable Deployment — IEEE 802.3af/at power over Ethernet delivers audio, control, and power on one network drop, reducing installation labor and eliminating local power supplies.
  • Native InformaCast, Revolution, and GCK Support — The speaker registers as a communication endpoint directly within leading mass notification platforms for bell schedules, scheduled announcements, and emergency alerts.
  • Direct SIP Registration — Without third-party software, the IP-HVP registers to a SIP server or VoIP communications manager for paging and critical alerts.
  • Auto-Registration on the Voice VLAN — SLP, DHCP Option 72, or IEDNet+ discovery configures the speaker like a VoIP handset, sharing QoS with your phone system.
  • GPI/O for System Integration — Two general purpose inputs and a 2A relay output trigger critical alert notification or connect third-party security and access control systems.
  • Balanced Aux Line-In and Line-Out — Balanced 2.8Vpp connections allow local source feeds or daisy-chaining analog audio alongside network paging.
  • Five-Year Manufacturer Warranty — AtlasIED backs the IP-HVP with a 60-month warranty from date of purchase.

Typical Applications

  • Government space — exterior paging and emergency notification for municipal buildings and campuses
  • House of worship — outdoor overflow audio and parking area announcements
  • Commercial meeting space — back-of-house and loading dock paging tied to the enterprise VoIP platform
  • Multi-purpose room — high-output voice alerting in gymnasiums and industrial-finish spaces
  • Auditorium — perimeter and lobby notification zones requiring high SPL coverage

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the IP-HVP work with InformaCast and other mass notification platforms?
Yes. It registers as a native endpoint within Singlewire InformaCast, Syn-Apps Revolution, and GCK advanced notification applications, supporting bell schedules, pre-recorded announcements, and emergency alerting.

Can it operate without third-party notification software?
Yes. The IP-HVP registers directly to a SIP server or VoIP communications manager as a standard SIP device for paging and critical alert applications.

What power does it require?
The speaker is powered over Ethernet: up to 12 watts on IEEE 802.3af or 25 watts on 802.3at (PoE+). An external power supply option is also available. No local AC power is needed for standard PoE deployments.

Is it suitable for outdoor installation?
Yes. The cast aluminum alloy grille is vandal and weather resistant, and AtlasIED publishes weatherproofing installation guidance for exterior mounting. Flush and surface vandal-resistant enclosures (IP-FEST-HVP, IP-SEST-HVP) are sold separately.

How is the speaker configured on the network?
It supports auto-registration on your Voice VLAN via SLP, DHCP Option 72, or IEDNet+, plus static configuration through an HTTP GUI — the same workflow as deploying a VoIP handset.

What warranty and support are included?
AtlasIED covers the IP-HVP with a 60-month warranty. Creation Networks provides pre-sale system design assistance and post-sale support for commercial IP paging deployments — contact us through creationnetworks.net.
