Product Overview
The Atlas Sound FC-6TPIC is the pre-install back can component of the FC-6TPI IsoFlare two-way ceiling speaker system, designed for commercial installations where backcans must be placed during the rough-in phase before the speaker driver is installed. This approach protects the speaker driver from construction-phase damage while allowing electrical rough-in to proceed on schedule. The FC-6TPIC is IP44 rated, UL listed, and compatible with 70V/100V and 8-ohm direct operation. The back can is paired with the FC-6DRV driver (sold separately) to complete the full IsoFlare FC-6TPI assembly.
Product Description
The FC-6TPIC back can is part of AtlasIED’s IsoFlare FC series—a premium ceiling loudspeaker line developed from acoustic and mechanical engineering expertise in point-source transducer technology. Pre-install back cans are an industry best practice for high-end commercial builds: the back can is set during the construction phase, while the valuable driver is installed only after the space is protected, reducing the risk of damage from debris, paint, or moisture. The FC-6TPIC back can is pre-wired and ready for termination. Once the space is ready, the FC-6DRV driver drops into the installed back can for final commissioning. The full FC-6TPI system, once assembled, delivers a frequency range of 50 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB), a frequency response of 62 Hz to 19 kHz (±3 dB), and a system sensitivity of 91 dB (1W @ 1m). Power handling is 80W average, 160W programme, and 320W peak. The full-bandwidth 60W 70/100V transformer features a rotary tap selector switch with taps at 60W, 30W, 15W, 7.5W (70V), and low-impedance operation. The IsoFlare driver uses ferrofluid-cooled titanium HF with a neodymium magnet system and a weather-treated multi-fiber cone, and is optionally paintable. A bezel-less magnetically secured grille completes the installation. Low-frequency extension can be supplemented with the FC-8ST subwoofer (sold separately). Compatible with AtlasIED Atmosphere platform for enhanced voicing presets.
