The Atlas Sound FA81-6 is a 6-inch ceiling tile bridge designed specifically for Atlas Strategy Series I in-ceiling speaker installations. It prevents ceiling tile sag by distributing the speaker assembly weight to the ceiling grid's structural support members. Constructed from 24-gauge electro-galvanized steel, the FA81-6 is BAA and TAA compliant and carries a 60-month warranty.
Product Description
The Atlas Sound FA81-6 tile bridge is engineered to support 6-inch Atlas Strategy Series speakers in standard suspended ceiling grid installations. The bridge spans the T-bar grid and transfers the combined load of the speaker, enclosure, and baffle away from the ceiling tile, preventing long-term tile deflection and maintaining a level ceiling appearance. The FA81-6 accepts Atlas FA95-6 and FA97-6 enclosure series as well as the FAPR-6 plaster ring, providing installation flexibility for both standard and fire-rated ceiling assemblies. Fabricated from 24-gauge electro-galvanized steel, the bridge offers corrosion resistance and structural rigidity for long-term commercial service. Its circular cut-out accommodates the Strategy Series 6-inch speaker assemblies with an 8-1/4" opening diameter. The overall bridge dimensions span the standard 23-5/8" T-bar module width. The FA81-6 is BAA and TAA compliant, making it eligible for use on federally funded and government projects. A 60-month warranty covers manufacturing defects.
