The Atlas Sound EZ96-4 is a patented EZ Mount flanged round enclosure designed for 4-inch loudspeaker installations in suspended tile and drywall ceilings. The EZ Mount system (U.S. Patent #4,484,658) uses adjustable support rails to transfer the combined weight of the speaker, baffle, and enclosure to the ceiling's structural support members, eliminating the need for tile bridges or conventional screw mounting. This enclosure is TAA and BAA compliant and carries a 60-month warranty.
Product Description
The EZ96-4 enclosure is part of Atlas Sound's most popular 4-inch round enclosure lineup and accommodates a wide selection of baffles, including the 51-4 and 60-4 models. The EZ Mount Enclosure/Rail System transfers the composite weight of the speaker, baffle, and enclosure assembly to the ceiling's structural support members through adjustable support rails that are included with the unit. The rails adjust vertically and are then secured to pre-mounted brackets on the enclosure with furnished screws, providing a stable, vibration-resistant installation. This approach is significantly faster than tile bridge installation methods and avoids the stress concentrations that screw mounting can place on finished ceiling tiles. At 4.25 inches (10.80 cm) in depth and 5.125 inches (13.02 cm) in diameter, the EZ96-4 is sized for standard 4-inch ceiling speaker installations. The unit is TAA and BAA compliant, qualifying it for government and federally funded projects. A 60-month warranty is included, consistent with Atlas Sound's long-term support commitment for installed AV infrastructure.
