Product Overview

The Atlas Sound DPA804 is an 800-watt networkable 4-channel power amplifier built for commercial audio installation in offices, retail, education, and hospitality facilities. As a DSP-controlled multi-zone amplifier, it can be configured for 70.7V/100V distributed paging, 8-ohm or 4-ohm low-impedance zones, or a mix of both on a single chassis. An accessory slot accepts an optional DPA-DAC4 Dante network audio card, making the DPA804 a practical choice for integrators standardizing on Dante audio-over-IP infrastructure. Out of the box it runs as a traditional four-channel 70.7V commercial power amplifier with no programming required.

Product Description

The DPA804 gives AV integrators and system designers three amplification arrangements in one 1RU unit. In its factory default mode it operates as a four-channel 70.7V constant-voltage amplifier for paging and background music distribution. It can also be configured in four-channel mode at 4-ohm or 8-ohm load impedances for two stereo foreground zones, or split so two channels drive a 70.7V/100V paging system while the other two handle low-impedance stereo playback. This flexibility reduces rack space and simplifies procurement for mixed-impedance commercial audio system design.

Atlas Sound DPA804 800-watt networkable 4-channel power amplifier front panel

The amplifier ships with four balanced line inputs, expandable to eight via the accessory card slot, which accepts either the DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card or the DPA-AMIX card with two mic/line and two AUX inputs. Every input can be mixed and routed to any of the four amplifier channels. Each channel carries a full DSP toolset — level controls, EQ, limiters, high and low pass filters, and delay — configured through a browser-based GUI from a PC, tablet, or mobile device, with password protection available. Output levels can be assigned to front-panel potentiometers or the GUI, and wired remote level controls support simple end-user operation. The PC-based DPA Site Manager software adds LAN IP auto-discovery, fault reporting, input/output status, and scheduled amplifier activation, which suits IT and facilities managers responsible for networked AV equipment monitoring. Key Features

  • Multi-Impedance Operation — Configurable for 70.7V, 100V, 8-ohm, or 4-ohm loads so one amplifier covers paging, background music, and foreground stereo zones.
  • Configurable DSP via Browser GUI — Level controls, EQ, limiters, high/low pass filters, and delay are managed from any PC, tablet, or mobile device with no proprietary software required.
  • Optional Dante Network Audio — The accessory slot accepts a DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card for direct integration with audio-over-IP networks.
  • Expandable Inputs — Four balanced line inputs expand to eight with the DPA-DAC4 or DPA-AMIX mic/line and AUX accessory card.
  • DPA Site Manager Software — LAN IP auto-discovery, fault reporting, status monitoring, and scheduler-based remote activation simplify multi-amplifier fleet management.
  • Flexible Mute and Control — Mute assignments trigger via audio signal or contact closure, and four GPIO ports are assignable for mute or remote level control.
  • Audio Sense Auto Power Down — APD reduces energy consumption when no signal is present, useful for facilities sustainability requirements.
  • Zero-Configuration Default Mode — Works immediately as a four-channel 70.7V commercial amplifier with no network connection or programming needed.

Typical Applications

  • Conference room and boardroom audio reinforcement
  • House of worship distributed audio and zone paging
  • Government space and commercial meeting space sound systems
  • Multi-purpose room and all-hands room AV deployment
  • Training room and auditorium speech and program audio

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the DPA804 include Dante network audio out of the box?
No. Dante is optional — the accessory slot accepts the DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card, which adds four network audio inputs for a total of eight.

Can the DPA804 drive both 70V speakers and 8-ohm speakers at the same time?
Yes. Two channels can run a 70.7V/100V paging or background music system while the remaining two channels drive 4-ohm or 8-ohm foreground stereo speakers.

How is the amplifier configured during installation?
DSP settings are accessed through a web browser on a PC, tablet, or mobile device — no proprietary software is required, and settings can be password protected. In its factory default mode it works as a standard four-channel 70.7V amplifier with no setup.

How much rack space does the DPA804 require?
One rack unit (1RU), 1.75 inches tall with a 15.5-inch depth, which fits standard 19-inch equipment racks and credenza racks.

Does it support remote monitoring for IT and facilities teams?
Yes. The PC-based DPA Site Manager software provides LAN IP auto-discovery, fault reporting, input and output status, standby status, and scheduled remote activation.

What warranty applies to this amplifier?
AtlasIED covers the DPA804 for 36 months from the date of purchase. Creation Networks is an authorized dealer, so your purchase is fully warranty eligible — contact our team for integration support and volume pricing.
