The AtlasIED CR222 is a 2' x 2' ceiling mount equipment rack that places AV electronics out of sight in the ceiling plenum, dropping into a standard reflected ceiling tile grid. The sealed, UL plenum-rated cabinet provides 2RU of 19-inch standard-width capacity with the AmbiTILT shelf system for tool-friendly loading and service. An integrated UL-listed AC power pack with PowerAWAKE auto-sensing on-off powers up to five devices, including a down-facing outlet for a projector. For classroom AV installation and conference room projector systems, the CR222 consolidates equipment mounting, power, and cooling in one above-ceiling enclosure.

The CR222 solves a recurring problem in commercial AV integration: where to put amplifiers, switchers, and control processors in rooms with no credenza, closet, or wall space. The cabinet mounts above a drop ceiling, and its open-frame access door accepts a ceiling tile cut-out held by retainer tabs, so the rack disappears into the ceiling grid. Two retention thumb screws open the door, and attached safety cables protect against injury during service.

The AmbiTILT shelf gives integrators three service methods: release the front cane bolts to tilt the shelf down toward the front, release the rear cane bolts to tilt the rear down for connector access, or remove the shelf entirely via quick-release locking pins. Universal mounting holes bolt or tie down equipment directly, and the optional CR222RR rack rail kit adds standard 2RU rack mounting.
