Allen & Heath Avantis Solo – Compact 64-Channel Digital Mixing Console, 96kHz
The Allen & Heath AH-AVANTIS-SOLO is a 64-channel, 42-bus digital mixing console built around a single 15.6-inch Full HD capacitive touchscreen with 12 physical faders across 6 layers. Powered by the XCVI FPGA core at 96kHz with 0.7ms latency, the Avantis Solo delivers the processing capability of the full Avantis system in a more compact, cost-effective form factor suited to mid-scale live sound, house of worship, corporate AV, and installed audio environments. The optional dPack upgrade licence adds dLive-class dynamics and processing at any time after purchase.
Product Description
The Avantis Solo shares the XCVI FPGA processing core and 42-bus architecture of the full Avantis console, but consolidates the dual-screen layout into a single 15.6-inch Full HD capacitive display. The Continuity UI connects the touchscreen with physical rotary controls and 12 faders so engineers can navigate the 72-strip layout without menu-diving. All 64 input channels carry full processing: preamp, HPF, gate, parametric EQ, compressor, and delay. The 42 configurable mix buses cover groups, aux, FX, matrix, and mains outputs in LR, LCR, or 5.1 configurations, with 16 DCAs for efficient subgroup control.
Local I/O covers 6 analogue XLR inputs, 6 analogue XLR outputs, and 1 stereo AES in/out. Two high-density I/O ports — each capable of 128x128 channels at 96kHz — accept Dante, MADI, and gigaACE option cards for full integration with networked AV infrastructure. The SLink port connects to Everything I/O remote expanders and ME Personal Mixing System for distributed I/O and performer monitor control. AMM supports up to 64 channels in D-Classic or NOM mode across 1, 2, or 4 zones, a critical feature for conference, government, and multi-room installations. The 12 onboard RackExtra FX slots each carry a dedicated stereo return, and USB provides stereo record and playback. The chassis is full metal for installation durability.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between the Avantis Solo and the full Avantis?
- The Avantis Solo uses a single 15.6-inch touchscreen and 12 faders (72 strips), while the full Avantis has dual 15.6-inch touchscreens and 24 faders (144 strips). Both share the same XCVI processing core, 42-bus architecture, and dPack upgrade option.
- Does the Avantis Solo require a separate MixRack?
- No. The Avantis Solo is a standalone console with onboard processing and I/O. Remote I/O expanders connect via the SLink port to increase local channel count.
- Can dPack be added after purchase?
- Yes. The dPack processing bundle can be purchased and activated as an upgrade licence at any time. The AH-AVANTIS-SOLO-W-DPACK version includes dPack pre-activated.
- What network audio protocols are supported?
- The two I/O expansion ports accept Dante, MADI, and gigaACE option cards, each at 128x128 channels and 96kHz.
- Is AMM included as standard?
- Yes. The Automatic Mic Mixer supports up to 64 channels in D-Classic and NOM modes across 1, 2, or 4 zones and is included in the base system without any additional licence.
