Which microphone stand should I choose?
Round-base stands suit lecterns and stages with limited space. Tripod boom stands reach over instruments and furniture. Desktop stands suit conference tables and podcasting.
Stand or wall mount for speakers?
Stands suit portable and event systems that are set up and struck. Wall, ceiling and yoke mounts suit permanent installs. Always match the mount's load rating to the speaker weight.
What tripod do I need for a PTZ or production camera?
Pick a tripod rated above the camera's weight with a suitable head: a fluid head for manual production cameras, or a flat plate for PTZ cameras. Check the maximum height for your sight lines.
Are speaker mounts safe for overhead installation?
Use mounts rated for the load, follow the manufacturer's safety factor, and fix them to structure rather than ceiling tile. Overhead rigging should be installed by qualified technicians.
