The Visionary Solutions MV4 is a 4K UHD IP multiviewer for AV over IP systems that need to monitor and switch between multiple PacketAV sources on one display. This 1RU rack-mount windowing appliance accepts up to four AV over IP streams from PacketAV Matrix Series encoders and combines them into a single 4K image with integrated scaling and seamless switching. The MV4 connects to a standard Gigabit network and processes four dynamically switchable input streams simultaneously. Each input can be scaled and positioned using preset layouts — quad view, side-by-side, full screen, PiP, PoP, and 3+1 — or in any user-defined custom configuration with window transparency, selectable borders, and 90-degree rotation for portrait-mounted displays.

Users can mix and match input resolutions, scale any input up to 4K UHD, and route any input to any window. The combined output is delivered simultaneously as a local HDMI output up to 4K30 4:4:4 and as a re-encoded AV over IP stream sent to one or more PacketAV Matrix Series decoders anywhere on the network. Because all signal transport is IP-based, the MV4 mounts in an MDF or head-end equipment rack instead of behind each display, cutting installation and maintenance costs in commercial AV deployments. Multiple units cascade for 7x1, 10x1, 13x1, 16x1 or higher input capability. Audio from any of the four sources — including one not currently displayed — can be selected for playback, and switching is frame-loss free during window and source transitions.
