Shure Stem Audio Ceiling Microphone (Ceiling1)

Whether you want to keep your audio out of sight or show it off, Stem Ceiling’s innovative design gives you the option to discreetly lush mount the device to a ceiling tile or tie it into the design of the room with chandelier mode. With 100 microphones and three array options (wide, medium, and narrow), Ceiling
focuses on who’s speaking and allows you to focus on your meeting, all while keeping the technology out of sight. Need more coverage? Mix and match all Stem devices until your room’s completely covered.

Shure Stem Dante-Enabled Communication Center (Hub1)

The brain of the Shure Stem system for conference rooms, Stem Hub connects multiple devices (Stem Table, Stem Wall, Stem Speaker, Stem Ceiling, and Stem Control) through your local network with PoE+ (Power over Ethernet). It enables all your Stem units to communicate with each other and to function as an ecosystem in your meeting room, collaboration area, or huddle room.

The Stem Hub can connect up to 10 devices per room and is required when using more than one Stem device. Multiple connectivity options are available including USB Type-B for use with a computer, Dante, VoiP, and terminal block for external speakers. The unit cannot be used as a standalone device.

With a sleek and low-profile design, the Stem Hub discretely mounts on a wall. It comes with a Kensington lock so you can keep it secure in your conference room.

 Ethernet with PoE+ Connection
  • This connection is mandatory as it provides the unit with data, power, SIP, and the ability to communicate with other Stem devices.
  • To make this connection, simply plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the Ethernet jack and the other end into a network that supports PoE+.
  • If your network doesn't support PoE+, you must use a separate PoE+ injector or PoE+ enabled switch (both available separately).
 Dante Network Connection
  • This connection provides a single output and input Dante channel to and from all Stem devices in the room.
  • For this connection, plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the Dante port on the Hub, and the other end into your Dante network.
 USB Type-B Connection
  • This connection is necessary for video- or audio-conferencing capabilities.
  • For this connection, use the USB type B cable provided and connect one end into the USB port and the other to your macOS/Windows/Linux laptop or room computer.
 Terminal Block Connection
  • This unamplified connection can be used whenever external speakers/amplification is required.
  • Use the provided male terminal connector to wire your speaker/amplifier cables into the Hub's female terminal block.
  • After connecting external speakers, initiate Stem RoomAdapt software to ensure speakers perform properly.

Shure Stem Control Touchscreen Interface (Control1)

The Shure Stem Control is an elegant 10" LED touchscreen interface for use with the Stem ecosystem of audio components and the video conferencing platform of your choice. The low-profile unit connects to your local PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) network using only a single cable and lets you easily initiate and manage push-to-start meetings and conferences. The integrated stand lets you set Control upright or lay it down to best suit your placement needs.

 One-Touch Conferencing
  • The 10” LED display allows you to dial SIP calls or launch a conference call directly from the device.
  • Stem Control is compatible and seamlessly integrates with major video conferencing platforms, so you can use the platforms you know and love, including Zoom Rooms.
  • Dual mounting options are provided: lay the unit down at a 45 degree angle or sit up at a 60 degree angle.
 Stem Ecosystem Access with Easy Set Up
  • The unit comes pre-loaded with the robust Stem Ecosystem platform which includes the RoomDesign, RoomAdapt, and RoomCheck tools to assist you with designing and optimizing the performance of your rooms and devices.
  • You can also access the Remote Management function to view behind-the-scene usage statistics and reports.
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE+) and networked setup eliminate complicated cabling and make installation effortless.
 Stem Audio Conferencing Options The Stem Audio Ecosystem includes speakers and microphone arrays to give you the freedom to customize your audio coverage for perfect pickup in every type of room. It allows you to mix and match all Stem audio devices until your room is completely covered.

 

  • Stem Table: This tabletop speakerphone features a low-profile 9-microphone array that performs real beamforming to focus audio capture on the person speaking and includes a full-range loudspeaker.
  • Stem Wall: This 48" mic array and speaker system offers real beamforming with 15 microphones along with two full range speakers and two subwoofers. The unit can be mounted on a wall or placed on a credenza and is well suited for small to medium spaces.
  • Stem Ceiling: This ceiling-mounted 100-microphone array performs real beamforming from a discreet location.
  • Stem Hub: When you have more than one device in a room or you need more than just USB connectivity, Hub becomes the brains of the operation. Hub enables multiple units in the room to communicate with each other to function as an ecosystem.

Shure Stem Wall Beamforming Microphone (Wall1)

Part of the Stem Ecosystem for conference rooms, the Shure Stem Wall is an elegant, beamforming microphone array and speaker system that can turn almost any meeting room, collaboration area, or huddle room into a conference space with advanced audio capabilities. Designed to be mounted on a wall or placed on a credenza, the Wall connects to your local network with PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) or to a computer and offers clear and highly intelligible speech capture and professional-quality sound for an enhanced meeting experience.

The Stem Wall features 15 microphones arranged for 180° audio coverage. Full-duplex transmission, voice-activity detection, and automatic tracking of the person speaking ensure intelligible speech capture. Automatic gain control adjusts the volume of people close to and far from the microphones, while echo cancellation, and de-reverberation ensure comfortable communication, free from distracting sounds.

Two built-in speakers and two built-in subwoofers deliver full-range audio powerful enough for small to medium spaces. Of course, the Wall can be combined with additional Wall units and other Stem components to ensure complete audio coverage for larger conference spaces and classrooms. The Stem Wall is compatible with all your favorite video-conferencing platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Meet, and others.

 Beamforming Technology with Digital Processing for Accurate Voice Capture
  • The 15 beamforming microphones work together to provide 180° coverage.
  • The direction-finding algorithm determines the presence and direction of the person speaking and the beamforming algorithm points the microphone pickup in that direction, ensuring that everyone in the room can be heard clearly by the participants on the far end of the call.
  • State-of-the-art AEC, AGC, noise cancellation, and de-reverberation algorithms enable full duplex communication and enhance the conferencing experience for all participants.
 Powerful Built-In Speakers
  • Two 4W speakers and two 10W subwoofers deliver full-range audio output in any room.
  • Speaker volume can be easily adjusted with volume up & down buttons on the device or through Stem Control (available separately).
 Simple to Install and Set Up
  • The Stem Wall comes with a wall-mounting kit for easy installation in your conference room. The unit can also be placed on a credenza or cabinet.
  • Attach the video camera of your choice with the included mounting kit and place the device above or below your display to complete the AV setup in your room.
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE+) and networked setup eliminate complicated cabling and make installation effortless.
  • The device can be remotely controlled via the Stem Control device (available separately).

Networked Setup with Multiple Stem Ecosystem Devices in the Room

  • Follow the same instruction as with standalone setup with network.
  • When setting up multiple Stem devices in a room, you must use a Stem Audio Hub (available separately), as all communications between the devices and the far end are done through the Hub.
