Plixus is a dedicated network rather than a shared one. Discussion audio, voting data and interpretation channels all run across it with the timing guarantees a live chamber needs — which is why it is not simply put on the building's IT network.

Engine capacity sets the ceiling on unit count and channel count. Size it against what the chamber may need in five years rather than what it needs at handover, because replacing the engine later means revisiting the whole system.

Extenders and topology

Network extenders carry the loop beyond a single run and allow redundant topologies, which matter where a cable fault during a session is unacceptable. In a chamber that sits in public, redundancy is usually worth specifying.
