These are model-specific, not generic

A UST cabinet is machined for one projector. The aperture position, internal shelf height and ventilation are all set by that chassis, so a cabinet cut for an Epson LS800 will not correctly seat a Hisense L9G. Confirm the exact projector model before ordering — including the sub-variant, since LS500 and LS800 take different cabinets.

Cabinet depth matters too. UST projectors throw from inches away, so the distance from the cabinet face to the screen wall sets the image size. That measurement has to be checked against the room before the cabinet is placed, not after.

Where they suit

UST cabinets solve the problem of a projector in a room that cannot take a ceiling mount — leased space, a finished ceiling, a room where cabling to the ceiling is impractical, or an executive space where visible AV is unwelcome. The projector sits in the furniture and the room reads as a living or meeting space.
