James Loudspeaker 70V / Distributed Audio

70V transformer-equipped models let multiple speakers run off one amplifier channel for multi-zone background music and paging, rather than a dedicated low-impedance amp channel per speaker. In stock: the outdoor AT32-70 (3", 30W) and AT42-70 (4"), plus 70V pendant and outdoor models available across James Loudspeaker's other product lines.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a 70V transformer add to a speaker? It lets multiple speakers share one amplifier channel across a distributed system, common in multi-zone background music and paging, instead of needing one amp channel per speaker.

Do I need 70V for a small single-zone system? Not necessarily — standard low-impedance models are typically simpler and adequate for a single zone with a dedicated amp channel.

Do you provide zone planning and installation for 70V systems? Yes, zone planning, tap setting, installation, and support are provided.
