The Salamander FPSA/SC2/GT is an extended depth equipment storage cover for FPS display stands, sized for 5RU of rack equipment and finished in graphite. It is the larger of the two FPS covers, specified where the equipment build exceeds what the standard 3RU cover will enclose.

Product Description

Carts carrying more than a basic codec and switcher run out of cover capacity quickly. Add a DSP, an amplifier, or a rack-mount PC and the build passes 3RU, at which point the standard cover no longer closes and the equipment sits exposed — defeating both the appearance and protection reasons for specifying a cover.

The extended depth version accommodates those larger builds. As with any enclosure, confirm the thermal load of the specific equipment before closing it in, particularly where amplification or a PC is included. The graphite finish matches the standard FPS stand colour.
