The Middle Atlantic RSH4A6XX-MC custom rackshelf resolves this without drilling, bracketry, or chassis modification: the component sits on the shelf, and the custom-cut face plate frames the McIntosh front panel inside a clean 6-space opening. The face plate is black brushed and anodized, a finish chosen to sit comfortably alongside McIntosh's own glass-and-metal industrial design rather than the textured powder coat used on utility rack hardware. At 20.5 inches deep, this model accommodates deeper McIntosh chassis that shallower RSH shelves cannot, making it the appropriate specification when the component's depth, rear connectors, and cable bend radius all need room behind the rail.
