The Middle Atlantic ICAB-COOL is an international-voltage Quiet-Cool cabinet cooling system that removes heat generated by AV components in smaller cabinets, credenzas, lecterns, and entertainment centers. The thermostatically controlled fan runs only when needed, extending fan life and minimizing dust intake while delivering 20 CFM of airflow at a near-silent 24 dBA. The kit includes a thermostatic controller and a 12V power supply that accepts 220–240VAC input, making it the right choice for installations outside North America.

Product Description

Enclosed furniture is one of the most common places AV equipment overheats. Receivers, amplifiers, media players, and set-top devices tucked inside credenzas and lecterns generate heat with nowhere to go, shortening component life and causing thermal shutdowns. The ICAB-COOL cabinet cooler solves the problem by actively exhausting hot air from the enclosed space.

Operation is fully automatic. The included thermostatic controller switches the fan on when the cabinet interior reaches 87°F (30.5°C) and switches it off again at 85°F (29°C). Because the fan runs only when temperatures call for it, fan life is extended and dust accumulation inside the cabinet is minimized.

At just 24 dBA while moving 20 CFM of air, the unit is quiet enough for living rooms, conference rooms, and lecture spaces where fan noise would be a distraction. The aesthetically designed vent can be painted to match the surrounding furniture or millwork, helping the cooler disappear into the installation.
