Product Overview
The Eaton PDUMH20ATS is a 1.92kW 120V single-phase ATS/local metered PDU combining automatic transfer switching with built-in current metering for network IT racks. This 1U rack-mount PDU features 16 NEMA 5-15/20R outlets, dual L5-20P/5-20P inputs, and 12-foot cords, giving small computer rooms and equipment racks both dual-source resiliency and real-time local load visibility in a single unit. TAA compliance makes it eligible for federal and GSA Schedule procurement.
Product Description
Racks that need to stay powered through a source failure, while also keeping an eye on total load, benefit from combining automatic transfer switching with local metering in one device — which is exactly what the PDUMH20ATS provides. Its built-in digital current metering reports the total load level for all connected equipment in real time, helping technicians confirm loads remain well below maximum capacity as equipment is added, which supports lower total cost of ownership by avoiding both nuisance overloads and premature capacity upgrades. The PDU features 16 NEMA 5-15/20R 120V outlets for connecting IT equipment, and its automatic transfer switching (ATS) capability switches to a secondary power source within 2-7 milliseconds if the primary source fails or becomes unstable, so connected equipment continues operating without interruption. An on-board ATS processor constantly evaluates power quality on both inputs and will not switch to the secondary source if it is unavailable or of lower quality than the primary. Dual 12-foot (3.7-meter) power cords with NEMA L5-20P inputs — two 5-20P adapters are included — connect to separate primary and secondary mains circuits, backup generators, UPS systems, or utility power grids, including out-of-phase sources. The all-metal housing mounts into 1U of rack space in an EIA-standard 19-inch rack using included mounting hardware, or the mounting brackets can secure the unit to a wall or under a counter. TAA compliance makes the PDUMH20ATS eligible for GSA Schedule and other federal procurement contracts, an important consideration for integrators serving government IT environments.
