Product Description

The CMS491CP2 is a plenum-rated in-ceiling AV storage enclosure that hides switchers, players, and other components above the ceiling line while accepting a 1.5" NPT column for a projector mounted in the same tile. Optimal pipe flexibility within the tile reduces reliance on digital image correction, helping preserve image quality in projection rooms. A drop carriage door provides full access to equipment for faster service. The detachable power housing can be pre-wired by electricians on site and assembled to the storage box later, simplifying the installation sequence. Inside the box or facing the room, you can configure up to two single-gang or one dual-gang outlet, supported by four nested knockouts for 1-1/4", 1", and 1/2" conduit. Built-in ventilation and an AV tray support a range of components, with a second shelf available separately (CMSUNV1). The included surge and filter module protects against high-energy transients, lightning strikes, and electronic noise that degrade gear over time.
