The Biamp Community W2-2W8 is a two-way, 8-inch wide-coverage compact loudspeaker delivering a true 120-degree horizontal pattern. As a weather-resistant installation loudspeaker for sound reinforcement, down-fill, under-balcony, and stage-edge fill applications, it serves houses of worship, auditoriums, and large multi-purpose venues that require uniform wide-angle coverage.
Product Description
Exhibiting a true 120-degree wide coverage pattern, the W2-2W8 is an innovative two-way loudspeaker that satisfies a variety of sound reinforcement, down-fill, under-balcony, stage-edge fill, and monitoring applications. The LF drivers and centrally placed 120-degree HF pattern-control horn are engineered to provide uniform pattern over the widest possible bandwidth. The unique molded Super-V configuration of the LF drivers provides uniform mid-range coverage and prevents collapse of the horizontal pattern throughout its range, especially in the critical voice range. Engineered for permanent installations, the enclosure and faceplate are constructed of multi-layer glass composite for high structural strength, a three-layer Weather-Stop grille protects internal components, and all exposed hardware is stainless steel or powder-coated aluminum. This model is finished in black and a stainless-steel mounting yoke is included.
