Product Overview
The Acroname USBHub3c Pro (S99-USBHUB-3C-PRO) is a software-controlled, 8-port programmable USB-C hub designed for conference room AV deployments, managed workspace environments, and advanced USB Power Delivery validation. Delivering USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) throughput with full USB-PD support up to 20V/5A per port, the USBHub3c Pro provides both the BYOD auto-switching AV integrators need and the per-port power measurement precision engineers require for USB-PD testing. AnyPort™ technology allows any of the 6 numbered ports to be assigned as a host or peripheral connection, giving integrators maximum flexibility across room configurations and cabling layouts. Manufactured in the USA and backed by Acroname's BrainStem® API for Python and C++ control, the USBHub3c Pro is the most capable programmable USB-C hub available for commercial AV deployment.
Product Description

The Acroname USBHub3c Pro features 6 full-featured dual-role USB-C ports at 10 Gbps, one dedicated Control Port, and one power input port — all 8 ports supporting real-time USB Power Delivery analysis. In a conference room, the hub functions as a BYOD auto-switcher: when a presenter connects their laptop, the USBHub3c automatically reassigns all connected USB peripherals — cameras, speakerphones, displays — to that device. When the laptop disconnects, the system reverts to the default room host (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or similar) without user intervention or AV control system commands.

Unlike passive USB-C hubs, the USBHub3c Pro Pro Edition supports variable voltage output from 3.1V to 21.0V at up to 5A per port, Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC2, QC3, QC4), and simultaneous laptop charging on up to 5 connected devices with an optional high-power supply. Acroname's AnyPort™ technology eliminates fixed port roles — any port can serve as upstream or downstream, accommodating a wide range of room layouts and BYOD scenarios without re-cabling.

Real-time power monitoring delivers ±0.2% current measurement accuracy and ±0.05% voltage accuracy across a 0–10A full-scale range, making this hub equally capable in production-line battery charge validation and engineering device test environments. The optional RS-232 serial control feature enables direct integration with Crestron, AMX, Extron, and other AV control systems for managed room deployments. ESD protection is rated to ±15kV (IEC61000-4-2 Level 4) and the hub operates from 0°C to 50°C with no active cooling. Ships with one 100W USB-C PD power adapter (100–240VAC), two USB C-C e-marked 5A cables, and one USB A-C cable.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the USBHub3c Pro differ from the Lab Edition?
The Pro Edition supports variable voltage output (3.1–21V) up to 100W per port, making it suitable for full USB-PD validation and high-power device charging. The Lab Edition outputs fixed 5V up to 3A per port and is designed for continuous-connection test labs such as mobile device regression environments.
Can the USBHub3c Pro be used as a conference room USB switch without software programming?
Yes. Auto-switching works out of the box with no configuration required. When a BYOD laptop connects to the assigned host port, peripherals switch automatically. Optional configuration via HubTool or the BrainStem API allows customization of switching behavior and port assignments.
Does the hub integrate with third-party AV control systems?
An optional RS-232 serial control feature (T99-SERIAL, $100) enables integration with Crestron, AMX, Extron, and other room automation platforms for manual host switching via control system commands.
What power supply is included, and can I use a higher-capacity supply for more charging power?
The USBHub3c Pro ships with a 100W, 20V/5A USB-C PD adapter. For high-power deployments requiring simultaneous multi-laptop charging, optional higher-capacity power supplies are available from Acroname.
Is a TAA-compliant version available?
Yes. A TAA-compliant unit (T99-TAA, $100) is available for U.S. federal government procurement under the Trade Agreements Act.
Can the hub operate without a connected host computer?
Yes. The BrainStem® embedded runtime supports user-defined automation programs that run directly on the hub's onboard processor without any connected host, enabling fully autonomous operation in unattended environments.
Does the USBHub3c Pro support Fast Role Swap?
Yes. Full USB-PD Fast Role Swap is supported, along with complete data and power role swaps for testing devices that implement these features.
What warranty is included?
The standard warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. An optional 1-year extended warranty (W22-USBHUB-3C-1Y, $200) and NIST calibration certificate (Y99-USBHUB-3C-CAL, $200) are available through Creation Networks or Acroname.
