What pixel pitch decides

Pitch is the distance between LED centres, and it sets the minimum viewing distance before individual pixels become visible. The working rule is roughly one metre of viewing distance per millimetre of pitch, so 4.44mm holds up from about 4.5 metres and beyond.

Below that distance the image starts to break into dots. Above it, you are paying for resolution the audience cannot resolve — which is why a lobby wall and a stadium wall have completely different economics.

Cabinet sizes and array planning

Cabinets come in several pixel resolutions so the array can be built to the wall dimension rather than the other way round. Work out the finished wall size first, divide by cabinet dimensions, and confirm the result lands on whole cabinets — partial cabinets are not an option.

Mounting, power distribution, receiving cards and a processor are all part of the system and are specified alongside. The wall also has to be flat within tolerance, since dvLED shows any deviation as a visible seam.
