Product Overview

The Meyer Sound LINA Compact Linear Line Array Loudspeaker with fixed rain hood is a self-powered weatherized line array loudspeaker for permanent outdoor and semi-exposed installations. It delivers the same high-power, full-range reinforcement as standard LINA while a fixed rain hood provides continuous weather protection for the transducers. This 3-pin configuration suits outdoor houses of worship, theme parks, stadiums, and exterior architectural AV systems requiring a low-profile curvilinear array. Each cabinet integrates with larger LEOPARD systems as supplemental fill.

Product Description

Meyer Sound LINA compact line array loudspeaker with fixed rain hood and weather protection

This LINA configuration applies the award-winning LEO family technology, delivering self-powered design, linear response, and precise directional control in a permanently weather-protected enclosure. Each cabinet houses two 6.5-inch long-excursion cone drivers and a 3-inch diaphragm compression driver coupled to a constant-directivity horn through a patented REM manifold, driven by an efficient Class D amplifier rated at 1950 W peak total output power. A fixed rain hood provides continuous protection for permanently installed arrays while the cabinet retains the lightweight 43 lb birch construction and QuickFly rigging of standard LINA. The configuration uses an XLR 3-pin female input with male loop output and is driven by Meyer Sound's Galileo GALAXY Network Platform with Native Mode tuning. For low-frequency extension it flies directly with the Meyer Sound 750-LFC without transition hardware. Compare with the standard Meyer Sound LINA compact line array loudspeaker, the larger Meyer Sound LEOPARD line array loudspeaker, or pair it with the Meyer Sound 750-LFC powered subwoofer.

Key Features

  • Fixed Rain Hood Weather Protection — A fixed rain hood provides continuous protection for the transducers in permanent outdoor installations.
  • Self-Powered Design — Onboard Class D amplification and processing simplify setup and increase reliability without external amplifier racks.
  • 1950 W Peak Output — The efficient Class D amplifier delivers high peak power with linear response across a wide dynamic range.
  • Three-Way Transducer Complement — Two 6.5-inch cone drivers and a 3-inch compression driver on a constant-directivity horn provide full-range reproduction with high intelligibility.
  • 3-Pin Audio Configuration — An XLR 3-pin female input with male loop output simplifies signal distribution across the array.
  • QuickFly Rigging — Captive GuideALinks set splay angles up to 11 degrees for fast, repeatable array assembly.
  • LFC and LEOPARD Integration — Flies directly with the 750-LFC and integrates with LEOPARD systems as supplemental fill.

Typical Applications

  • House of Worship — Weatherized LINA arrays provide intelligible full-range coverage of outdoor congregations and courtyards.
  • Auditorium — Suited to permanently installed open-air theaters and amphitheaters requiring consistent high-power coverage.
