The Qt X 300 control module is the system's processor, supporting up to three zones, AVB or Dante media networking (300D), and two audio inputs for paging and music. It includes a front-panel LCD, software panel lock, auto ramping, event scheduling, an adjustable equalizer for masking and audio inputs, and four non-correlated masking sources per zone. A contact closure integrates with fire alarm systems, dual network ports separate media and control, and a web interface plus third-party Ethernet API support remote management. The included Qt emitters are wide-dispersion direct-field loudspeakers with 1.25-inch drivers, smaller than a coffee mug, delivering four uncorrelated audio channels for uniform, unobtrusive masking. Adjustable emitters can be attenuated up to 9 dB in 3 dB steps for spot adjustments or micro zones down to 100 square feet. Emitters install on a simple grid based on ceiling height — a 10 ft × 10 ft grid for a standard 9 ft ceiling — into ceiling tiles 0.5 to 1.5 inches thick or other ceiling types with optional mounts, daisy-chained with plenum-rated CAT-3-or-better cable using pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors.
