Biamp Introduces Vidi Conferencing Cameras - Creation Networks

The Vidi line of conferencing cameras is designed for small and medium-sized conference rooms

With the launch of Vidi, a line of professional-grade conferencing cameras, Biamp, a leading manufacturer of professional audiovisual solutions, today announced the launch of Vidi, a line of professional-grade conferencing cameras for meeting spaces, ranging from huddle rooms to small and medium-sized conference rooms. A new family of high-performance audiovisual products for contemporary meeting rooms is available from Biamp with the introduction of the Vidi family of conferencing cameras.

In a statement, Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Biamp has said, "We have launched our new Vidi conferencing cameras as a demonstration of our commitment to offering complete solutions for a wide range of meeting spaces." "As unified communications become increasingly important to organizations' day-to-day operations, video conferencing is becoming an increasingly important part of how organizations conduct business. Therefore, there is a need to extend the quality of video meetings from large and mid-sized meeting rooms to small meeting spaces. In all of these spaces, Biamp's wide adoption and acclaim of their audio systems make Vidi conferencing cameras the obvious solution for reliable, effective collaboration, complimenting the audio systems that are widely adopted and admired by the Biamp community."

Two new camera models have been launched as part of the Vidi conferencing camera family, the Vidi 100 and the Vidi 250. The Vidi 100 is a highly affordable 4K camera with a 120 degree field of view and a built-in microphone array that offers excellent sound and picture quality. It is ideal for small spaces and huddle spaces, where space is at a premium.

For small to medium sized rooms, the Vidi 250 is a more sophisticated model. An electronic pan-tilt-zoom with no image degradation is possible with the 12MP sensor, which supports 4K video with a 120 degree field of view. Among its advanced features are premium optics that eliminate image distortion, automatic participant framing, zoom, and focus, as well as a built-in microphone array. Cameras can be mounted above, below, or either side of a display or off a wall thanks to flexible mounting options. There is no limit to the applications that can be used with the feature-rich camera.
