The JBL Control 418C/T is an 8-inch two-way coaxial ceiling loudspeaker from JBL’s Control 400 Standard Coverage Series, designed for professional commercial audio installations. Engineered to deliver high-output performance, this ceiling speaker combines a powerful 8-inch woofer with a 25mm soft-dome tweeter, providing clear, balanced sound across a broad frequency range of 57 Hz to 20 kHz. Its integrated enclosure allows installation in most ceiling plenum spaces, making it ideal for applications where space is limited but high-quality audio is required.

Aesthetics are seamlessly integrated into the design, with a full-face paintable magnetic grille that blends into modern interiors. Optional black round and white square accessory grilles are also available for design flexibility. The Control 418C/T ensures safe and efficient installation through thoughtfully engineered features: top and side cable entry ports, and a reliable captive dogear system compatible with various ceiling thicknesses. These features reduce installation time while improving repeatability and safety.

This speaker supports both low-impedance 8Ω operation and distributed 70V/100V systems via a built-in multi-tap transformer, offering versatility in a wide range of commercial environments. With a sensitivity of 92 dB and maximum SPL of 113 dB continuous (119 dB peak), it delivers strong, intelligible audio for music, paging, and announcements. The IP33 rating ensures protection against moisture in challenging environments.
