JBL Intellivox DSX430 Active Beam-Shaping Column Loudspeaker, Amplifier at Bottom

The JBL Intellivox DSX430 (Amplifier at Bottom) is a professional, self-powered column loudspeaker designed for superior speech intelligibility and even audio coverage in acoustically challenging environments. As the second tallest model in the DSX series, the DSX430 provides coverage of up to 50 meters, with extended control over lower frequencies, making it ideal for large conference halls, places of worship, theatres, atriums, and transport hubs.

This model features thirteen custom 4” full-range loudspeakers and eight 1” dome tweeters, all driven by a sixteen-channel Class-D amplifier located at the bottom of the column, powered by a sophisticated switched-mode power supply for long-term reliability. The dome tweeters enhance horizontal coverage and improve high-frequency fidelity, while the patented driver arrangement ensures uniform sound pressure levels throughout the listening area. Digitally steerable beam shaping (DDS technology) allows precise vertical directivity control, focusing sound where it is needed and reducing unwanted reflections.

The DSX430 supports dual line inputs, volume control, and up to 20 seconds of delay, while integrated DSP provides full control over vertical beam shaping, EQ, and audio processing via JBL’s WinControl software. The column can be complemented with JBL subwoofers to extend low-frequency performance, making it a versatile solution for professional audio installations.
